dried purple mulberries

Kapisa

Our white mulberries grow wild at the base of the Hindu Kush mountains in Kapisa, in northern Afghanistan. Around June, these fresh mulberries dry on trees and are picked when they are dry to the touch to then be dried once more on large sheets in the shade. This produces a naturally sweet and crunchy dried white mulberry with delicate floral notes reminiscent of wildflower honey.
